Kelly joins us this March from GlaxoSmithKline, where she helped develop analytical tools for upstream and downstream biopharmaceutical processes. Kelly previously graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in Bioengineering. As an undergraduate, she was a project leader in the Biostructural Laboratory. Kelly was a research scholar in Malaysia, evaluating bio-oil as a combustion source. She conducted chemical engineering research related to the M2 influenza channel and presented her findings at the Biomedical Engineering Society conference. Kelly was the scrum-half and president of the Lehigh woman’s rugby team and, after suffering a torn ACL while playing, she rehabilitated and returned to the pitch at the end of her senior year. She is from Vernon, NJ, where for five years she served as an EMS volunteer for the ambulance squad.
