Joe joins us from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics. For three years as a Veteran Peer Advisor, Joe helped student-veterans and military-affiliated students receive their educational benefits. He tutored students in a variety of Mathematics courses. Joe researched the use and applications of ultrafilters in Topology and Analysis, and the symbiotic metabolic relationships between cancer cells in tumors. Previously, Joe was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, first as an infantryman and then as a squad leader, and he was deployed to Europe and to Asia. Originally from Mount Laurel, NJ, Joe enjoys cooking and baking, backpacking, and weightlifting.
