Schneider, Princeton Consultants Named Finalists for Wagner Prize in Operations Research

October 23, 2017

Dr. Robert Randall, a Princeton Consultants senior optimization specialist (second from right in photo), joined the client team from Schneider for the finalists' presentation for the Wagner Prize at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Houston. Led by Schneider’s Dr. Ted Gifford, who has won the prize before, the team discussed its software solution that optimizes the assignment of trucks transporting fuels and chemicals to freight movements. The team designed and successfully implemented a multi-phase, multi-dimensional matching algorithm and developed new business processes that enable business planners to leverage optimized solution recommendations.

The INFORMS Daniel H. Wagner Prize honors excellence in operations research practice, and values strong mathematics applied to practical problems.
