Princeton Consultants Alumnus Zach Tumin Leads NYPD Innovation

July 27, 2015

Zach Tumin (left), Deputy Commissioner for Strategic Initiatives at the New York City Police Department, recently gave Princeton Consultants CEO Steve Sashihara a tour of the NYPD Emergency Operations Center, a central location for senior officials from City, state, and federal agencies and relevant private entities to coordinate response efforts, make decisions, and gather and disseminate information during emergencies and special events. Zach is a former senior consultant at Princeton Consultants, where he reengineered HR processes for the financial services industry.  Zach now leads the Police Commissioner's internal innovation group, chartered to stand-up new units, such as the Project Management Office, and operations, such as the rollout of social media accounts to more than 100 NYPD commands, establishing the largest social media enterprise in U.S. law enforcement.
