Jake joins us this March from Columbia University, where he earned an M.S. in Chemical Engineering. As a research assistant at the Solar Fuels Engineering Lab, Jake characterized and developed nanoparticle electrocatalyst materials for membrane electrode assemblies used in fuel cells, led a project on a novel electrocatalyst, and was awarded a Seifi Ghasemi/Air Products Scholarship for excellence in research. Jake co-authored the paper, “Role of the I2/I Equilibrium in the Photocatalysis of Oxygen Reduction at Ag/AgI.” Previously, he graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Chemistry and Minors in Computer Science and Math. He was active in intramural sports, serving as captain of teams in football, basketball, dodgeball and volleyball. Jake is from Scottsdale, AZ and regularly visits family in Melbourne, Australia.
