Weronika joins us this April from Stanford University, where she earned an M.S. in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, focusing on data mining and machine learning. While at Stanford, Weronika built a variety of models, including one to predict the heating load of a residential building, and another to predict missed kicks in NFL games. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she won a variety of awards, including the Applied Mathematics Competition. Weronika grew up in Zakopane, Poland and moved to the U.S. at 16. Weronika enjoys hiking, traveling and skiing; she was a member of the Polish national cross-country skiing team.
