Princeton Consultants Welcomes Jojo Deep as an Associate

September 13, 2023

Jojo joins us from Princeton University, where he earned his BA in Mathematics. Jojo’s senior thesis in Algorithms addressed fast disjoint sets-structure operations on planar graphs and the problem's connections to circle packing. At the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior, Jojo applied random walk theory to existing mathematical models of drosophila (fruit fly) neural ring attractors, creating better representations of their decision making while on the move. Also at Max Planck, he worked on the development of an evolution simulation model, leading to a more nuanced understanding of the social brain hypothesis. In the past, he has studied general nonlinear dynamics models concerning the asymmetric political polarization of the current two-party system and extended this theory to potentially stable three-party systems. Jojo was a math mentor, advisor, and TA. He wrote an essay on the characteristics of persuasive conspiracy theories and their similarities to current news media which was accepted to a journal of writing pedagogy. He enjoys movies, and he has appeared in and helped write and produce short films. A native of Natchitoches, LA, you can now find Jojo playing basketball on the courts around New York City.
