Mitigating risk during the modernization process requires a careful plan that ensures smooth transitions and maintaining system operability. In a webinar hosted by CAST Software, Princeton Consultants Director Patricia Randall, PhD described helping a Fortune 500 company accelerate its digital transformation journey, and addressed the importance of selecting the right tool, which doesn’t “choke on the code.” Patricia discussed better ways to plan modernization, specifically:
- greatly reducing time for design, approach and planning
- aligning understanding between different technology teams
- creating independent projects for a phased migration
- preserving flexibility to scale up or down according to complexity
